The Africa International Housing Show has announced a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Finance Incorporated to organize a one-day stakeholders engagement and enlightenment programme focused on MOFI’s intervention initiatives.
The stakeholders engagement and enlightenment programme with MOFI is scheduled to take place during the 19th edition of the Africa International Housing Show set for July 27 to August 1, 2025.
The initiative is aimed at spotlighting MOFI’s role in Nigeria’s housing sector and educating the public on its intervention efforts.
According to a statement from AIHS 2025 organisers, MOFI will feature seasoned speakers and industry experts who will provide insights into its housing programmes and investment strategies.
The MOFI-led sessions at AIHS 2025 will complement the efforts of other major players in Nigeria’s housing finance sector, including: Family Homes Funds Limited, Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, Federal Housing Authority, Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company.
MOFI has set an ambitious target to raise ₦1 trillion to support affordable housing development in Nigeria. Notably, the first phase of ₦250 billion has already been raised and fully subscribed, reflecting strong investor confidence in the initiative.
This fund is poised to finance large-scale affordable housing projects, aiming to reduce Nigeria’s housing deficit and enhance access to homeownership for low- and middle-income earners.
With this financial backing, MOFI is expected to play a transformational role in scaling up housing delivery and stimulating economic growth through the housing sector.
According to the release, at AIHS 2025, MOFI will convene top housing finance practitioners to provide insights into its ongoing efforts and strategic direction, aligned with global best practices.
These discussions are expected to offer valuable perspectives on how MOFI aims to transform Nigeria’s housing sector through: Structured financing solutions, Sustainable development approaches, Innovative investment models.
“By working in synergy with other agencies, MOFI seeks to strengthen the overall housing finance framework and accelerate the delivery of affordable housing to Nigerians.
“During its dedicated day at AIHS 2025, MOFI will engage directly with real estate developers, investors, and offtakers, showcasing opportunities for collaboration and investment. The event will serve as a platform for MOFI to extend its flagship initiatives and demonstrate how it can work with key stakeholders, including FMBN, FHFL, NMRC, FHA, and other agencies, to drive sustainable housing development in Nigeria.
