Elon Musk has stated that X social media platform will cover the legal fees of a lawsuit on behalf of those who have suffered unfair treatment at the hands of employers as a result of something they posted or liked on the website formerly known as Twitter.
“If you were unfairly treated by your employer due to posting or liking something on this platform, we will fund your legal bill,” Musk said in a post on X
Musk announced that the number of monthly X users had reached a “new high” late last month and provided a graph displaying the most recent figure of over 540 million.
The numbers were released while the business underwent organisational changes and sought to increase declining advertising revenue.
It was also the most recent in a string of remarks from X executives asserting robust usage after Meta Platforms on July 5 announced a rival platform called Threads.
After 17 years with a recognisable blue bird design that came to represent the dissemination of ideas globally, Elon Musk relaunched Twitter as X and released a new logo in July, signalling a focus on developing a “everything app.”
Musk had earlier in July claimed that the platform’s negative cash flow was due to a nearly 50% decline in advertising revenue as well as a high debt load.
