Microsoft has revealed that it and Sony have announced that it retains Call of Duty on PlayStation.

The head of Xbox, Phil Spencer made the announcement on Sunday.

In an effort to refute speculations that it may make Call of Duty an Xbox/PC exclusive after acquiring publisher Activision Blizzard, Microsoft already secured a similar agreement with Nintendo to retain Call of Duty on the Switch for 10 years and made other smaller similar deals.

Sony had previously rejected Microsoft’s overtures for a legally enforceable deal on Call of Duty while it fought the acquisition.

This comes following the FTC’s unsuccessful attempt to obtain a preliminary injunction blocking Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
