France’s radiation agency has disclosed in a statement that the iPhone 12 violates radiation levels days after the launch of iPhone 15.

The watchdog informed Apple of its findings and advised the business to temporarily suspend sales of the iPhone 12 and issue a remedy as soon as feasible.

This is coming Just one day after Apple revealed the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro.

“The French National Frequencies Agency is instructing Apple to withdraw the iPhone 12 from the French market as of September 12, 2023, after the Specific Absorption Rate limit for this model was exceeded,” the French agency wrote in a statement.

“ANFR enjoins Apple to implement all available means to rapidly remedy this malfunction. Failing this, Apple will be required to recall any units already sold.”

In its labs, the ANFR particularly measures a number of Specific Absorption Rates.

The average amount of tissue absorbing the most signal is over 10 g according to the most popular EU SAR limit of 2 W/kg. When you hold your phone to your ear, it is an excellent indication of what is going on in your thoughts.

According to Le Parisien, France’s junior minister for telecoms Jean-Nol Barrot, Apple has a few weeks to comply with French laws before further action is taken.

Apple in response stated that the iPhone 12 has received compliance certification from numerous international regulators, as reported by Reuters and the AFP. The business intends to both challenge the ANFR’s findings and work with the organisation to find a solution.
