Emirates restores 96% of flight operation after Middle East disruptions

Emirates to resume Nigerian flights Sept 11

Following disruptions triggered by the recent Middle East conflict, which grounded hundreds of aircraft, global carrier Emirates has staged a strong operational rebound, restoring 96 per cent of its flight network and signalling renewed stability across international air routes.

The airline, which had scaled back operations at the peak of the crisis, said it has now resumed services across major regions, including the Americas, Europe, Africa, West Asia, the Middle East, the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Far East and Australasia.

In a statement issued to journalists on Tuesday, Emirates said it now operates flights to 137 destinations in 72 countries, running more than 1,300 weekly services—about 75 per cent of its pre-disruption capacity.

The airline said, “This marks a significant milestone in our recovery journey. We are offering more flights, more seats and more options each day while reaffirming Dubai’s position as a vital hub through which global travel moves.”

For many passengers, the disruption brought uncertainty, delays and last-minute route changes. Despite operating at reduced capacity, however, Emirates still carried about 4.7 million passengers during the period.

Key to Emirates’ recovery strategy is not only the restoration of routes, but also the preservation of its hallmark passenger experience—an area in which the airline has earned a strong global reputation.

“Wherever Emirates customers choose to fly, they can expect a best-in-class onboard and on-ground experience. This is defined by exceptional comfort, genuine hospitality, and a level of service that has set the standard for long-haul travel,” Emirates added.

The airline said passengers are served regionally inspired, multi-course meals prepared by award-winning chefs, complemented by an extensive selection of premium beverages.

“There’s really no such thing as a long flight anymore. Our goal is to make every journey as engaging and comfortable as possible.

“Customers who need to stay connected can do so seamlessly at 40,000 feet. We now have Starlink connectivity live on 28 aircraft, delivering ultra-fast, reliable internet in the air, ” it stated.
