A leading cybesecurity firm, DevSecFlow, has introduced an advanced security operations platform, SECOYA — an advanced security operations platform engineered to provide intelligent, scalable, and efficient cyber defence for financial institutions and tightly regulated organisations across Nigeria.
The announcement was made in a statement on Sunday, following an exclusive executive breakfast session held by the company on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in Lagos.
The event, themed “Beyond Compliance: AI-Powered Resilience for Nigeria’s Financial Future,” convened senior stakeholders from the fintech and cybersecurity sectors to discuss emerging digital threats and the urgent need for smarter, adaptive security strategies.
DevSecFlow’s Chief Executive Officer, Francis Ofungwu, emphasized that Nigeria’s cybersecurity approach must evolve beyond mere regulatory compliance, advocating for intelligent systems capable of responding with speed, scale, and precision.
According to DevSecFlow, SECOYA is designed to simplify and enhance security operations by integrating intelligence, clarity, and control. The platform tackles the rising complexity of cyber threats in Nigeria’s digital economy by embedding security into existing workflows and leveraging AI solutions tailored to local operational realities.
DevSecFlow Co-founder, Abdel Sy Fane, stated that SECOYA was developed to bridge trust and collaboration gaps commonly found within tech teams, while also making enterprise-grade cybersecurity protection accessible to small and medium-sized enterprises.
“We built SECOYA to solve the trust and collaboration gaps we kept seeing across tech teams. Real security does not just come from tools, it comes from understanding how people work and designing systems that elevate them without getting in the way,” Fane said.
“Our SecOps automation capabilities enable teams to focus on real threats, while SECOYA’s accessible design ensures that even small firms with limited resources can deploy high-impact security solutions at scale.”
The session also included a panel discussion moderated by Francis Ofungwu, featuring cybersecurity leaders from top Nigerian fintech companies. Panelists included Ebuka Onyejegbu, Senior Business Relationship Manager at Moniepoint; Demi Babajide, Back-End Developer at OPay; Paul Oludele, Information Systems and Security Manager at PalmPay; and Sopriye Iketubosin, Manager, Information Security at Kuda MFB.
