Artificial intelligence is accelerating changes across London’s white-collar labor market, with finance analyst positions among the hardest hit as employers increasingly automate tasks once handled by junior professionals.

According to recruitment platform Adzuna, searches for “finance analyst” currently return about 80 vacancies in London, a sharp decline from more than 350 openings recorded four years ago.

The drop highlights the growing impact of AI on professional services jobs in one of the world’s leading financial centers.

The trend extends beyond finance. Job postings for corporate lawyers, software developers, management consultants and digital marketing managers have also fallen significantly, with roles that once numbered in the hundreds now frequently appearing only in double digits.
