Amazon unveils two new AI-powered Bee recording devices

Amazon on Thursday unveiled two new Bee audio-recording devices, including a wearable gadget and a credit card-sized voice recorder, as the e-commerce giant expands its presence in the artificial intelligence hardware market.

The Bee Frontier is an upgraded version of the company’s existing wearable device, which can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing.

Like its predecessor, the new device offers up to seven days of battery life, but comes at a higher price of $75, compared with $50 for the previous model.

Amazon acquired Bee, a United States startup known for its always-listening bracelet, in July 2025 for an undisclosed sum.

Bee’s bracelets feature artificial intelligence technology and built-in microphones that enable them to record, transcribe and analyse conversations.

The Bee Frontier features dual microphones with improved noise-filtering capabilities, allowing it to capture relevant conversations while filtering out background noise, even in busy environments such as crowded restaurants and open-plan offices, Amazon said in a blog post.

Amazon also introduced the Bee Eclipse, a $100 voice recorder that offers similar features to other Bee devices but comes in a credit card-sized design. Unlike the wearable models, the gadget attaches magnetically to the back of a smartphone.

The Bee Frontier is available for purchase from Thursday, while the Bee Eclipse is expected to launch soon, according to the company.
