Snapchat announced today that it will begin testing creator subscriptions in an alpha rollout with select United States users starting February 23.
The new feature will let fans subscribe to creators such as Jeremiah Brown, Harry Jowsey, and Skai Jackson, unlocking exclusive content and giving creators new ways to monetize their presence.
Creators can choose their own monthly subscription prices within the app, with Snap offering suggested tier options. Subscribers will gain access to content exclusive to them, receive priority replies to a creator’s public Stories, and enjoy ad-free viewing of that creator’s Stories.
Snapchat said this feature provides creators with an additional way to earn income, complementing its existing monetization programs.
“Expanding on existing monetization offerings like the Unified Monetization Program and the Snap Star Collab Studio, Creator Subscriptions introduce a premium layer of connection directly into how Snapchatters already engage with creators across Stories, Chat, and replies,” the company said in a blog post.
The company reported 946 million daily active users in its Q4 2025 results.
Snapchat stated that U.S. users posting to Spotlight increased by over 47 per cent year-over-year.
Last month, Snapchat also spun off its hardware division into a new entity called Specs.
It said it plans to roll out the creator subscription program to Snap Stars in Canada, the U.K., and France in the coming weeks.
