DigiTax, a leading pan-African e-invoicing and tax compliance service, has appointed Olumide Akinsola as its country director to spearhead its entry into the Nigerian market.
The leadership move comes shortly after the Namiri Technology Limited-powered platform secured official accreditation from the Federal Inland Revenue Service.
The Federal Inland Revenue Service had accredited the platform as an Access Point Provider and System Integrator for Nigeria’s e-invoicing system, operating under the Merchant Buyer Solution framework.
A statement on Akinsola’s appointment noted that he brings close to 20 years of expertise in growth, operations, and business development across the African tech ecosystem.
“He has a proven track record of launching and scaling businesses, including leading the growth and eventual acquisition of QuickBus in Nigeria and other markets,” it added.
In his new role, Akinsola will lead DigiTax’s Nigerian operations, collaborating with regulators, enterprises, and industry stakeholders to drive the seamless adoption of e-invoicing under the FIRS Merchant Buyer Solution platform.
“Building on its success across Africa, where it supports over 800 businesses processing millions of invoices, DigiTax positions itself as a trusted compliance partner for Nigerian enterprises navigating the digital transition, emphasizing data protection, security, and reliability,” the statement added.
The DigiTax Nigeria-ready suite provides real-time invoice validation, fully compliant with FIRS requirements.
