SAP, one of the world’s largest software companies, announced on Thursday, it is partnering with fast-growing Databricks to integrate data analysis with SAP’s HR, finance, and logistics software.

This collaboration aims to help customers access and interpret their critical data more efficiently.

“The way I think about it, the most important enterprise data on the planet today is actually SAP data, and now you are marrying it with the best data platform,” said Databricks CEO Ali Ghodsi, in an interview with CNBC.

“For me, it’s a marriage made in heaven.”

Like much of the tech sector, SAP and Databricks have been promoting AI’s value to investors.

In January, SAP raised its financial outlook, driven by AI, with its stock up 69% over the past year. Databricks, valued at $62 billion, remains privately held and is a top contender for a potential IPO.

Last month, Databricks announced that Meta had invested in the company. The two collaborate on Llama, Meta’s popular open-source AI model.

SAP is branding the partnership as Business Data Cloud.

CEO Christian Klein said “We are opening up SAP business data and matching it with non-SAP data using Databricks.”

The product will be available on cloud platforms from Amazon, Microsoft, and Google.
