The Managing Director and Accountable Officer of ValueJet, Omololu Majekodunmi, has reaffirmed that the airline is focused on strengthening connectivity between major cities in Nigeria by delivering safe, reliable, and customer-oriented flight services.
He made this known after the announcement of the airline’s new Lagos–Benin service, set to begin operations on May 18.
Majekodunmi explained that the launch of the Benin route is part of ValueJet’s wider expansion strategy designed to offer passengers more convenient and efficient domestic travel options.
He noted that the airline remains dedicated to strengthening domestic connectivity, while progressively extending its operations to key destinations across Nigeria and the wider West African sub-region.
The ValueJet boss added that the Lagos–Benin route will provide travellers with a quicker and more convenient alternative to road travel, particularly for business and leisure passengers who frequently commute between the two cities.
He further said that the inclusion of Benin City in the airline’s network underscores ValueJet’s commitment to connecting more commercial and regional centres through seamless air travel services.
Majekodunmi said, “The addition of Benin to our network reflects our focus on connecting key cities across Nigeria with safe, reliable and customer-friendly services.
“We are pleased to provide more accessible and efficient travel options for our passengers while continuing to expand our reach.”
Majekodunmi also noted that the airline has continued to expand and strengthen its domestic and regional operations, offering flights from Lagos to Abuja, Port Harcourt, Owerri, Calabar, Kano, Jos, and the Gateway International Airport in Ogun State.
