The Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative is collaborating with the United Nations Sustainable Energy for All to provide greener and more sustainable energy in Nigeria.

According to The Punch, this was revealed in a statement made on Friday in Lagos by the PCNGI’s chief executive and program director, Michael Oluwagbemi.

The workshop, according to the program director, was designed to reaffirm Nigeria’s steadfast commitment to sustainable solutions that would lead the country towards a more environmentally friendly and sustainable future.

He claimed that the workshop represents a critical turning point in the country’s will to advance sustainable energy access with the rest of the globe.

He claimed that it included enlightening talks on important subjects like Nigeria’s Carbon Market Activation Plan, Nigeria E-bus strategy, Nigeria Energy Transition Plan, and Solar Empowerment for Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Businesses.

He added that the workshop was a follow-up to an earlier meeting between PCNGi Chairman Adedeji and CEO of SEforAll, Ogunbiyi, in Abuja, Nigeria.

Oluwagbemi stated that another purpose of the workshop was to highlight the important projects and advancements that are supporting Nigeria’s objective for sustainable development.

“These initiatives are essential in guiding Nigeria towards a more sustainable future, as they align with global goals and influence the country’s development landscape,” the speaker stated, highlighting their significance and relevance.

The event also emphasized how crucial PCNGi is to guiding Nigeria towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.

“The goal of the workshop was to identify opportunities for collaboration and outline concrete steps for forging impactful partnerships between SEforALL and FIRS/PCNGi.

“PCNGi’s commitment to promoting cooperation among important stakeholders is demonstrated by its active participation in the workshop,” Oluwagbemi stated.

He claimed that the committee’s objective is for sustainable practices to become deeply embedded in Nigeria’s energy system, fostering increased access to energy, environmental preservation, and economic development.

He restated the commitment to continued cooperation with all stakeholders in order to advance sustainable solutions that support Nigeria’s more ambitious development objectives.

“PCNGI continues to be a driving force behind Nigeria’s sustainable development, making sure that the country’s green growth objectives are fulfilled and exceeded.”
