United States President Donald Trump has unveiled a rendering of a commemorative U.S. passport featuring his portrait.
The limited-edition passport is set to be released as part of celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of America’s independence.
“The U.S.A.’s New Passport, which says, ‘Welcome, but be good!’” Trump said in a post on TruthSocial.
The design features a stern-looking President Donald Trump leaning on his desk alongside his signature, with the text of the Declaration of Independence forming the background. The image appears to be based on an official portrait taken by White House photographer Daniel Torok.
The opposite page features a painting of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, alongside the inscription “United States of America 250.” The White House also shared the passport rendering on social media, branding it the “PATRIOT PASSPORT.”
The newly unveiled passport appears to feature an image of President Donald Trump based on his official portrait displayed at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington.
The design differs from versions released by the U.S. State Department earlier this year, which featured a different image of the president.
