Trump Mobile has confirmed that customer information, including names, email addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, and order identification numbers, was inadvertently exposed on the open internet.
Trump Mobile spokesperson Chris Walker said the company is investigating the incident and has found no evidence that customer content or financial data was exposed, according to TechCrush.
He also maintained that the exposure did not result from a breach of Trump Mobile’s network, systems, or infrastructure.
Walker said the exposure stemmed from a third-party platform provider that supports “certain Trump Mobile operations,” though he did not identify the company involved.
The admission followed earlier reports this week that Trump Mobile customer data was accessible on the open internet.
On Wednesday, two YouTubers who had ordered Trump Mobile devices said a researcher notified them that their personal details were publicly exposed online.
YouTubers Coffeezilla and penguinz0 said they attempted to alert Trump Mobile about the exposure after a security researcher also tried to raise the alarm, but received no response.
Walker also said the company is currently assessing whether it needs to formally notify customers whose personal data may have been exposed.
