Major Russian business organizations and Eurasian Economic Union members are planning business trips to several African countries.

The Ounch reported that the Russian Export Centre, Roscongress Foundation, State Development Corporation VEB.RF, RosGeo, and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs are a few of the organizations anticipated to take part in the mission.

Others include the Eurasian Economic Commission, the All-Russian Non-Governmental Organisation of Small and Medium Business, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

According to the Executive Secretary of the Russia-Africa Events Organising Committee and Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Anton Kobyakov, “The initiative under consideration directly builds upon the agreements reached following the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum in St. Petersburg.

“The official delegations from African nations and business leaders expressed their keen interest in fostering their relationship and in deepening and stepping up cooperation between Russia and Africa, where priority areas for economic cooperation have been identified and where tangible results can be attained in the coming years.

“We’re talking about energy, including alternative energy sources, infrastructure growth, particularly in the railway and housing sectors, mining and mineral processing, agriculture, digital technologies, geological exploration, as well as health, research, and education.”

The statement revealed that the delegations would also include officials from Russian firms and other EAEU countries involved in transportation, agribusiness, mineral exploration, mining, processing, energy, and digital services.
