Through the staging of bilateral and multilateral business conferences on both continents, there are signs that economic relations between Russia and Africa are advancing.
Vanguard reported that earlier this month, the “Geopolitical transformation: challenges and opportunities for business” conference between Moscow and Algeria was held in Algiers, where the presentation of the second summit, Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum, took place.
The trade representative of Russia in Algeria, Ivan Nalich, stated during the presentation that the participation of representatives of Algerian businesses in the event will allow them to personally discuss specific trade, economic, and investment cooperation opportunities with Russian businesses and will help increase trade turnover.
The Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum and Second Summit have already been planned for St. Petersburg, Russia, from July 26 to July 29, 2023, with the theme “Technology and Security for the Sake of Sovereign Development for the Benefit of Humanity.”
The event’s objective is to support initiatives aimed at enhancing comprehensive and equitable collaboration between Russia and African countries in all departments of society, including politics, security, economic ties, science, and technology, as well as the cultural and humanitarian domains.
The most urgent topics on the Russian-African agenda will be discussed in public during the business program of the event.
“A large exhibition will be part of the event and serve as a vital communication tool for showcasing the accomplishments and potential of the participating nations in the fields of economy, science, ecology, and culture.”
