Reddit is introducing a variety of features to its website for users who are not signed in.
These features include better performance, a more useful search results page, better communities, and related post suggestions.
The service provider claimed in a blog post on Monday that users are going to Reddit from various search engines to locate relevant content on user-posted topics, which is enhancing the user experience for those using it occasionally or for the first time.
Reddit said that the site’s search result page has been made simpler with a new design. It was mentioned that posts now take precedence over other aspects on the mobile search result screen.
In order to allow users to view information without conducting searches, the platform also made design improvements to the landing page. Instead of the four posts that were previously displayed at the top, there are now six. The business added that titles on postings now have larger font sizes and better insets for photographs and videos.
Reddit’s new website features a sticky sidebar on the desktop, allowing you to scroll through the content on your own to highlight pertinent communities or topics. Users who are not logged in will view community details such as the community banner, description, membership count, and rules in the sidebar when they visit a subreddit’s landing page. Reddit stated that although several subreddits have unique styling, logged-out users won’t currently see it.
To make its sites load twice as quickly as before, Reddit is also making performance modifications to the logged-out site experience.
According to the platform, the most recent changes will be accessible on desktop and mobile web experiences.
