The MD reiterated the theme of 2024 as “A Year of Positive Impact” during his contact with employees during his working trips to various regions of the company.
He noted that after reflecting on the previous year, the company is well-positioned to make a positive effect in all aspects of the customer experience as a result of management’s reinvigorated focus.
Uwheru defined the acronyms in the phrase “positive” as: Purposeful living, Optimism, Self-confidence, Initiative, Trust, Invigorating, Victory, and Excellence.
The MD urged all employees to remain purposeful and optimistic while maintaining a high degree of self-confidence. He also encouraged employees to deploy new initiatives, build trust, be invigorated, celebrate victories, and deliver excellent service.
Uwheru cautioned the team not to take the phrase “positive impact” lightly, and expressed confidence that this year, clients will have every reason to praise the organization for service delivery based on good impact.
Currently, the company has started the business year by strategically interacting with important Obungha Community stakeholders in the Bayelsa Region.
The community was informed that the period of customers viewing power as a social benefit is over, as this is the era of energy accountability, as PHED purchases electricity at a cost but is currently incurring losses due to sabotage in the area.
Similarly, Asari Dokubo of Obuama Community, Degema LGA, has sought collaboration to increase electrical services, indicating that major production activities are planned.
The PHED management acknowledged his request, assuring him that the electricity firm will look into avenues for the investment plan.
