OpenAI may soon launch a range of specialized AI “agents,” with prices reaching as high as $20,000 per month, according to a report by The Information.
The AI company is said to be developing various agent products tailored for specific tasks. These include a “high-income knowledge worker” agent, reportedly priced at $2,000 monthly, and a software developer agent expected to cost $10,000 per month.
At the top end, OpenAI’s most expensive offering — priced at $20,000 per month — will reportedly target “PhD-level research” applications.
Details about the official release date and customer eligibility for these AI tools remain unclear. However, The Information notes that SoftBank, a major OpenAI investor, has committed to spending $3 billion on the company’s agent products this year.
