Oil prices surged to over 3% on Friday after Israel carried out a strike in Iran, spiking fears of an all-out war in the Middle East.

A U.S. official confirmed with NBC News that Israel has conducted an operation in Iran.

According to CNN, the Fars news agency in Iran reports that there have been explosions at an airport in Isafahan, but it’s not clear yet what caused them. Several flights have been diverted to the Iranian airspace.
