The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies has rescheduled its National Summit and Exhibition on the Orange Economy from “October to December 2026.”

The summit, organised in collaboration with Bruit Costaud Government Affairs Et Al Limited, was originally billed to hold from October 6 to 8 at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, formerly the National Theatre, in Lagos.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, however, the organisers announced that the event would now take place from December 8 to 10 at the Admiralty Event Centre, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.

They said the postponement would give them more time to strengthen the summit’s programme, expand stakeholder participation and improve the overall impact and expected outcomes of the event.

“The event was rescheduled to allow additional time to strengthen the event programme, broaden stakeholder participation and maximize the Summit’s overall impact and deliverables,” the statement said.

The summit is expected to bring together policymakers, investors, creative and cultural industry leaders, entrepreneurs, academics, development partners and other stakeholders to examine the opportunities and challenges in Nigeria’s Orange Economy.

The Orange Economy covers economic activities driven by creativity, culture and intellectual property, including film, music, fashion, publishing, advertising, design, visual arts, entertainment and cultural industries.

The sector has increasingly featured in Nigeria’s economic diversification strategy, as the Federal Government seeks to expand its contribution to employment, investment, innovation and national output.

The government has also rolled out initiatives to improve financing, skills development, infrastructure and investment in the creative sector, amid concerns over challenges such as access to capital, piracy, inadequate infrastructure and limited sectoral data.

According to the organisers, “the NIPSS summit will provide a platform for stakeholders to explore how the creative and cultural industries can contribute more significantly to economic diversification, job creation, innovation, investment and sustainable development.”

The organisers also thanked stakeholders who had committed to the event, including partners, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, media organisations and registered participants.

“We sincerely appreciate the enthusiasm and support demonstrated by our partners, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, media organizations and registered participants,” they said.

They apologised for any inconvenience caused by the change in date and venue, while urging stakeholders to keep supporting the rescheduled event.

“While we regret any inconvenience caused by the change in timing and location, we look forward to the continued support and active participation of all stakeholders,” the organisers said.

They added that the summit would provide “a robust national conversation and a compelling showcase of Nigeria’s vibrant Orange Economy” when it holds in December.

The event is now scheduled for December 8 to 10, 2026, at the Admiralty Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
