Nigerian provider of cloud infrastructure, WhoGoHost, has acquired SendChamp, a cloud communications firm that provides online messaging for African businesses for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition, which includes cash and stock, is a part of WhoGoHost’s strategic ambitions to broaden the value it is able to provide to its clientele.

SendChamp, a service founded in 2021 by Goodness Kayode and Damilola Olotu, enables companies to communicate with clients via SMS, WhatsApp, email, and voice.
“Our vision and theirs align,” SendChamp CEO Kayode said.

“WhoGoHost is ensuring that entrepreneurs and businesses go online and that businesses can communicate effectively.”

The CEO and CTO of SendChamp will take on additional responsibilities at WhoGoHost as part of the purchase.

Damilola Olotu will hold the position of Chief Technology Officer at WhoGoHost, and Goodness Kayode will hold the position of Chief Product Officer.

After a brief period of time as an independent product, SendChamp’s offerings will be made available through the Whogohost integrated platform.

The acquisition of SendChamp, according to WhoGoHost founder Opeyemi Awoyemi, offers the startup a special chance to broaden its product offerings beyond “domain-hosting to a one-stop shop for digital services for entrepreneurs and businesses in Africa.”
