The Lagos Area Committee of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers and the Insurfeel Initiative are collaborating to promote insurance knowledge by donating free policies labelled ‘School Care Cover’ to students.

According to The Punch, beneficiary students would be able to take advantage of free personal accident insurance coverage when attending school, travelling, and staying anywhere in Nigeria thanks to the partnership.

Additionally, in the case of certain events like permanent disability from an accident and death, whether from an accident or a natural cause, it would pay school expenses to the designated beneficiaries of the insured parent or guardian.

The Lagos Area Committee of the NCRIB, according to its chairman, Demola Olutusin, is dedicated to improving student safety and education.

He continued by saying that the collaboration will have an effect on the lives of students, the insurance sector, and ultimately the country.

He also claimed that the program will help the pupils understand the nature of insurance and its advantages since it continues to be the most effective means of reducing risks.

He explained that in order to expose pupils to insurance at an early age, the regional committee had decided to implement quiz contests among schools.

The initiative’s promoter, Chuks Okonta, stated that the collaboration was a component of the campaigning plan for the program.

According to him, the advocacy approach involved collaborating with associations, organizations, and groups to adopt donations of free insurance policies to the uninsured.

He mentioned that the Insurfeel Initiative now provides two distinct insurance policies—School Care Cover and Uni Personal Accident Cover—to those who have little or no insurance experience so they may understand how insurance operates.

While lamenting the poor penetration of insurance, he pleaded for organizations, associations, and groups, particularly in the insurance sector, to embrace the initiative and use it to donate insurance goods as mementos to the public instead of donating products from other sectors.

He said that the Insurfeel Initiative had given away free insurance coverage to members of the public recently and that it planned to give away much more while promoting the advocacy approach to encourage donations from people, businesses, companies, and groups.

According to the statement, “Insurfeel is an initiative created by Okonta, the publisher of Inspenonline, was designed in line with ‘The Suya Seller Strategy,’ which entails tasting before buying.”
