The Federal Government, through its Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, named three agencies on Monday as the most efficient organizations in terms of ease of doing business in the first half of 2023.
According to the Punch, the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service, the Nigerian Standards Organisation, and the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board were the top-performing agencies overall in accordance with Executive Order 1.
This was revealed in the compliance report, which was made public by PEBEC in Abuja. The study covered government agency operations from January to June 2023 and ranked the agencies according to compliance and efficiency.
Their capacity to deliver prompt, affordable, and customer-focused services was evaluated in the report, along with a review of their transparency.
The PEBEC 2023 Executive Order Compliance Report evaluated the level of compliance of the different executive orders issued by the government to make doing business in Nigeria easier.
According to PEBEC, the NCDMB ranked first with 83.06 percent, followed by SON at 82.85 percent, and the NAQS placing third with 69.85 percent, as the top five performing MDAs for the six-month period.
