MeCure Industries lists on NGX

MeCure Industries Plc listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited and has revealed plans to raise capital through an Initial Public Offering.

The Punch revealed that this was said during the Facts Behind the Listing presentation on Wednesday at the NGX.

The Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Ifedamola Oluwasegun, stated, “Today, we are listing by introduction, we are not here to solicit donations. 500,000 are on our list and up for trade. It will rise dramatically during the ensuing years to account for 20% of the business.

“Yes, we want to pursue an initial public offering in the upcoming years, aside from the mandatory listing. W e are learning, so let’s begin our journey now and get there.”

Ifedamola noted that 75% of private healthcare spending in Nigeria was allocated to this sector, which offered the company a chance.

“Trends in the industry show that many people are now treating their health much more seriously in the wake of COVID-19. They take their supplements and have frequent checks. Technology is being used more frequently, and the government is supporting this.

“The government made numerous initiatives between 2020 and the present. Still, there is a significant reliance on imports. Approximately 70 to 75 percent of manufactured goods are still imported into Nigeria, as our chairman has stated.”

Ifedamola pointed out that this industry accounted for 75% of private healthcare spending in Nigeria, which presented an opportunity for the business.

“In the wake of COVID-19, industry trends indicate that many people are now taking their health much more seriously.” They have regular checkups and take their vitamins. The usage of technology is increasing, and government backing is part of this trend.

“From 2020 to the present, the government has undertaken a number of projects. Nevertheless, there is a substantial reliance on imports. As our chairman has said, about 70 to 75 percent of manufactured items are still imported into Nigeria.”
