Network failure is causing customers of Guaranty Trust Bank in Nigeria to face difficulties, and transactions can no longer be made through the bank’s app, USSD, or point-of-sale terminal.

It is observed there remains a network problem that began on Wednesday, April 4, 2024 and has not yet been resolved at the time of filing this report.

However, despite the large network disruption, GTbank is still not issuing a formal statement on its ongoing problems.

Meanwhile, perturbed customers have taken to social media to express their anger, demanding an explanation for the network disruption issue, particularly on ‘X’ formerly known as Twitter.

@Mochievous said “I can’t believe @gtbank hasn’t issued any apologies anywhere for this service disruption that has lasted over 24 hours. Customers can’t receive money, can’t send out money, can’t use cards to pay for stuff, can’t even use the atm. No email, no text not even a social media post.”

@lifeofariella said, “You’re using gtbank and you’re in a restaurant, just know you’ll wash plate this evening.”

@Milaghe_ wrote “I can categorically tell you that @gtbank is one of the weapons fashioned against me that won’t prosper.

@LyngTerm said, “Gtb na so una wan hang me like this? App, online banking, transfer NOTHING IS WORKING!”

Similarly, @KingSolomon217 said “@gtbank @gtbank_help: wetin be all these nonsense? I can’t trust my money with you guys again. It’s when you like I can access my money not when I want, abi what’s the meaning of this error you’re writing?
