The Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, in partnership with Google, has announced the 10 startups selected for the N100 million AI Fund.

The AI Fund, established by the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in collaboration with Google, will provide each selected startup with N10 million in funding and up to $3.5 million in Google Cloud Credits.

Additionally, the selected startups will have access to Google’s advanced AI tools, receive mentorship from Google’s AI experts, and connect with a global network of innovators and partners.

The 10 startups selected for the AI Fund include:
BetaLife Health, Bunce, CDIAL AI, Farmspeak, Lendsqr, ProDevs, Rana Energy, SaaSPro Health, Towntalk,Trade Lenda.

According to Google, the selected startups will focus on sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, education, and governance.

This approach aims to tackle local challenges and drive sustainable economic growth through the application of AI technologies.

“Across Africa, entrepreneurs are harnessing the power of technology, including AI, to address large-scale societal challenges,” Matt Brittin, President of Google for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, said.

“Google remains committed to supporting these innovators, helping them expand their impact across the continent and beyond.

“Our work in Africa has always been about unlocking the digital economy’s benefits for more people, and this collaboration continues that mission,” he added.

This initiative aligns with a broader report emphasizing the economic potential of AI in Nigeria.

According to findings from Public First, AI could contribute up to $15 billion to Nigeria’s economy by 2030.

By equipping local entrepreneurs and innovators with essential tools, resources, and training, this initiative aims to harness that potential, underscoring the importance of this collaboration for Nigeria’s digital future.
