FCMB appoints Oluyinka Johnson as non-executive director

First City Monument Bank has appointed Ms. Oluyinka Johnson as a Non-Executive Director, following approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Ms. Johnson brings over 20 years of experience in strategic leadership and operational excellence across the financial and business sectors.

Her career includes key roles at First Bank of Nigeria Ltd, where she served as Group Head of First Shared Services Banking Operations and Head of Corporate Transformation, leading multiple operational units and driving automation and process optimization initiatives.

Prior to that, Ms. Johnson co-founded and served as Managing Partner of Integrated Business Strategies, advising leading financial institutions on strategy, transformation, performance optimization, and organizational restructuring.

Early in her career, she also worked as a Development Engineer with a major pharmaceutical company in the UK and the USA.

A WimBoard Fellow, Ms. Johnson is committed to corporate governance, innovation, and advancing women in leadership.

Her appointment enhances FCMB’s board diversity and underscores the bank’s dedication to strategic leadership and sustainable growth.

Ms. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of South Bank, London, UK, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, USA.

The FCMB Board of Directors welcomes her appointment, noting that her extensive experience in governance, corporate transformation, and operational excellence will provide valuable insights and strengthen the bank’s strategic direction as it continues to deliver sustainable value to its stakeholders.
