The Central Bank of Nigeria on Wednesday, fired the boards of Titan Trust, Union Bank, Keystone Bank, and Polaris Bank.
According to BusinessDay, the central bank of Nigeria met with the respective boards of the banks and then the boards were dissolved.
A source at one of the banks confirmed the dismissal but did not elaborate on the reason or the future steps.
All four banks are a part of the special investigations led my Jim Obazee on how the CBN was operated under the former governor of the CBN, Godwin Emefiele, who was fired shortly after President Tinubu took office in May.
The central bank is currently preparing an official statement.
