Billionaire businessman and CEO of microblogging platform, X has mocked the global disruption caused by a glitch in Microsoft.

The billionaire reacted to a meme shared on X with a laughing emoji, which humorously captioned, “Everything else is down, but this app still works,” mocking the disruptions.

Airlines, banks, retailers, and healthcare providers are currently facing extensive disruptions following Microsoft’s online service issues, attributed to problems at cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike.

These problems have rendered some Windows users unable to access their systems, resulting in a “blue screen of death” appearing on their screens.

Elon Musk also revisited a 2021 post on X, quoting it: “Macrohard >> Microsoft.”

According to James Bore, a cybersecurity expert and managing director of Bores Group, the outages seem to be caused by a tool named Falcon from CrowdStrike, necessitating manual reboots rather than automatic fixes.

CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz in a post on X on Friday disclosed that the cybersecurity firm is “actively working with customers that are impacted by a defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts.” He added that the issue was not a cyberattack or security incident and that “the issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed.”
