The Executive Director of Commercial Operations for the Dangote Group, Hajia Fatima Aliko-Dangote, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to eradicating the high rate of youth unemployment in the country.
According to The Punch, Aliko-Dangote revealed this information during the just-finished “Dangote Day” at the Lagos International Trade Fair. He stated that since the company’s founding, President Aliko Dangote has wished to support the nation’s three levels of government in their efforts to eradicate poverty.
The best way for Dangote Group to accomplish this, in her opinion, will be to help the country’s youth unemployment rate be eradicated.
She stated that, aside from the Federal Government, Dangote was the largest employer of labour in Nigeria, and that the organization’s top goal was to increase the number of jobs available for the teeming Nigerian youths.
“Our President, Aliko Dangote, wants to make sure that young people in Nigeria are engaged in a skilled manner because only then will they be able to make their own contributions to the nation’s progress and advancement. The nation’s security issues will also lessen if young people are actively involved,” according to Aliko-Dangote.
