American chipmaker Nvidia and its staff have donated $15 million to non-profit organizations in Israel and abroad to assist citizens impacted by Israel’s conflict with the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

Under a unique scheme created to aid those impacted by the war, thousands of employees from more than 30 countries gave a total of $5 million, which the firm matched and quadrupled to $10 million, Nvidia announced on Sunday.

The donation was said to be the biggest in the 30-year history of the business as a humanitarian fundraising.

“We are proud to see such broad support from Nvidia families in Israel and around the world, and are grateful for their prayers and hope for the return of our colleague Avinatan Or, and the other hostages from Hamas captivity,” Nvidia’s deputy general counsel, Gideon Rosenberg said.

According to Nvidia, workers have choose to contribute to several organizations in the area, such as Zaka, American Friends of Magen David Adom, Asor Fund (JGive), Friends of United Hatzalah, Doctors Without Borders, IsraAID (US) Global Humanitarian Assistance, Jewish Agency for Israel, World Central Kitchen, and Zaka.

Along with donating hundreds of computers to families who had been evacuated from Israel’s north and south, Nvidia also said that its Yokneam office cafeteria had served thousands of hot meals.
