The chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission has stated that businesses in Nigeria must adapt to reality because of disruptive technologies like artificial intelligence, the Internet of things, and machine learning, among others, for survival.
NCC chairman, Prof Umar Garba Danbatta who was represented by Mr. Alkasim Umar, Director of the Consumer Affairs Bureau at the Commission at the 2023 ICT edition stated the importance of adopting AI held on Tuesday 25th July and 26th Wednesday July.
“Today, we find ourselves amid a digital revolution, where the boundaries between physical and virtual worlds are blurring. So, as we navigate the era of tech disruptions, it is crucial for businesses to embrace innovation and adapt to the changing landscape,” he said.
At the 2023 edition of the Information, Communication, Technology and Telecommunications, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Commission, who delivered the recommendation, stated that the technologies have been used globally for improved productivity and sustainability.
According to the NCC boss, while the globe struggles to cope with the 4th Industrial Revolution brought on by the Internet, advances in numerous ICT-related fields are radically altering all dimensions of people’s lives and rewriting economic, social, and cultural paradigms all over the world.
