The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has given the Central Bank of Nigeria the order to allow the use of the old N200 note alongside the new ones until April 10, 2023.

This was said in the early hours of Thursday as the president addressed Nigerians live on a nationalbroadcast.

He emphasised that Nigerians have about 60 additional days to the initial extended date of February 10.

Therefore, the old N200 note will continue to be a legal tender until it is completely phased out on or before April 10, 2023.
