Apple on Wednesday, released an update to its iOS 17 operating system to address an issue with overheating with its most recent iPhone models.

The titanium-clad iPhone 15 series was launched last month, and the Pro and Pro Max models are powered by a special A17 pro CPU. The Pro line’s hardware enables high-end mobile gaming on the devices.

Consumers voiced complaints about the iPhone 15 models’ short battery life and overheating soon after their release.

In addition to “important bug fixes, security updates, and addresses an issue that may cause the iPhone to run warmer than expected, the most recent update to iOS 17 also solves the issue, according to a statement sent by an Apple spokesperson on Wednesday.

The company claimed that recent modifications to select third-party apps, such as Uber and Meta’s Instagram, were overtaxing the system and added that the Pro models’ design prevents overheating; rather, the new titanium shells enhance heat dissipation.
