A week after seeding the fourth beta of iOS 17 to developers, Apple on Monday released the second public beta of this operating system, as well as of iPadOS 17, watchOS 10, macOS Sonoma, tvOS 17, and HomePod Software Version 17.

With that, enrolled public beta testers can take advantage of the most recent updates, which include performance upgrades, battery problem repairs, and more.

With iOS 17, the Phone app has been updated. It introduces customised Contact Posters, which provide users a fresh way to express themselves by personalising how they appear, giving incoming calls an entirely different appearance.

They can select photo filters or Memoji effects, as well as vibrant font colours and fonts. Apple implemented NameDrop with beta 2, allowing you to share a contact by just walking up to two iPhones.

Since this is the tenth update cycle for this operating system, watchOS 10, the public beta version provides a significant update to the Apple Watch. All Apple Watch apps, according to Apple, make use of the entire display to create new content spaces that let you see and do more, which is especially helpful for devices with larger displays.

The public beta of macOS Sonoma focuses on features for videoconferencing. Presenter When you share your screen during a video call, overlay keeps you involved in the conversation. There are two overlay sizes available: large and small. The small option places you in a little bubble floating on the presentation, as opposed to the huge overlay that keeps the spotlight on you and frames your screen next to you on a separate layer.

HomePod Software version 17 is focused on the Enhance Dialogue function, which Apple claims analyses audio being played and isolates the actors’ voice from effects or background music. This contrasts with the tvOS 17 public beta, which introduces a brand-new FaceTime app, a redesigned Control Centre, and support for Dolby Vision 8.1.

Later this September, all users are anticipated to receive the latest operating system updates.
