Anthropic plans to triple its international workforce and grow its applied Artificial Intelligence team fivefold in 2025, stepping up its challenge to OpenAI, Microsoft and Google.

“Our international growth is outpacing even our most ambitious forecasts,” Chief Commercial Officer Paul Smith said, noting that major clients are coming on board before the company establishes a physical presence.
“What is amazing is we haven’t, up until recently, had significant human presence in Europe, in Japan, in our international markets, and yet we already have a very, very significant business over there.”
Smith noted strong uptake in industries such as life sciences and sovereign wealth management.
At Novo Nordisk, the Danish drugmaker behind Ozempic, Claude was used to cut a drug development analysis and reporting phase from three months to just a few days.
