The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority has revealed that 284 flights were cancelled in the first three months of the year by the 11 domestic airlines that fly within the nation.

According to a recent assessment by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, the two aforementioned airlines are the worst for flight cancellations in Nigeria.
According to the NCAA’s study, 284 flights were cancelled in the first three months of the year by the 11 domestic airlines that fly within the country.
Air Peace, the biggest domestic airline in Nigeria, topped the list of airlines with the most flights cancelled from January through March of this year.
According to NCAA data, Air Peace cancelled 63 flights, while Max Air cancelled 56.
43 flights were cancelled by Arik, 40 by Aero Contractors, 20 by Azman Air, and 16 by Green Africa.
According to the report, United Airlines also cancelled 2 flights, Overland 15, Value Jet 15, Ibom Air 9, and Dana Air cancelled 5.
Additionally, according to data from NCAA, in the first quarter of 2023, 2,791,591 people travelled through the country’s domestic airports,1,391,560 of the 2,791,591 people were travelling in, and 1,400,031 were travelling out.
In the event of a flight delay or cancellation, passengers are guaranteed a full reimbursement under the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig.CARs) 2015, which is currently being modified. However, as some customers have noted, receiving such reimbursements can be challenging and time-consuming.
