Air Peace blames heavy rainfall for flight disruption

Air Peace Airline has said that the flight disruption and delays being experienced by its passengers are due to heavy rainfall in Lagos.

This disclosure was made in a statement by the management of Air Peace via a post on its official X handle on Sunday.

The statement reads, “Dear Esteemed Customers, The heavy rainfall in Lagos, this afternoon has led to flight delays and diversion, causing disruptions across our network today.

“While the weather is beyond our control, we appeal for your understanding as we work hard to minimise the impact, on our operations.

“For inquiries on flight schedules and other concerns, contact us via [email protected]

Recall that customers had used social media, particularly on X to express their dissatisfaction about flight delays by the airline on Sunday.

One customer with the handle @Boldwealth on X had said “@flyairpeace una don start again ooo, I booked a two way flight from UK to Nigeria, the flight was canceled and am yet to receive a refund, wetin dey sup.”

In response the airline replied, noting “Dear Valued Customer, we apologize for this inconvenience, kindly send a mail to [email protected] detailing the issue, and the team will revert shortly after they receive your mail.”

There was heavy rainfall in Lagos which was accompanied by strong winds and flooding that wreaked havoc in different parts of Lagos on Sunday.
