Adobe is introducing its generative AI technology to mobile devices with the beta release of the new Express app, accessible on both Android and iOS platforms.

This move is aimed at providing users with enhanced creative capabilities while on the go. The Firefly GAI features within the app enable users to generate images and manipulate various elements, such as people, objects, and backgrounds, using text prompts. Quick Actions facilitate one-tap edits, background removal, and image resizing.

In addition to these features, the Express app offers video editing tools, a social content scheduler, and collaboration options. Creative Cloud subscribers can import and edit designs from Illustrator and Photoshop seamlessly.

It’s important to note that Firefly GAI is tailored for commercial use, and assets created with Firefly tools carry a label indicating their origin in the realm of generative AI.

During the beta phase, Express premium features are accessible to all users at no cost, but a $10 per month subscription will be required for continued access in the future. While the iOS beta has limited availability, interested users can sign up through Adobe.

The Android beta of the new Express app is widely available on the Google Play Store in most countries.
