Fidelity Bank gets second extension to publish H1 audited results

Fidelity Bank Plc has secured a further extension from the Nigerian Exchange Limited for the publication of its audited financial statements for the half-year ended June 30, 2026, pending final regulatory approvals.

The bank disclosed this in a regulatory filing signed by its Company Secretary, Ezinwa Unuigboje, and dated October 5, 2026.

The development follows an earlier approval granted by the NGX allowing the lender to defer the publication of its H1 2026 audited financial statements until September 30, 2026. However, the financial statements have yet to be released.

According to the bank, the latest extension was necessary as it is still awaiting the required regulatory approvals.

“Fidelity Bank Plc wishes to inform its esteemed shareholders, Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), and other stakeholders that NGX has approved a further extension of time for publication of its Audited Financial Statements for the Half Year Ended June 30, 2026,” the bank stated.

The lender added that the financial statements would be published immediately after the necessary regulatory approvals are obtained.

“The AFS will be published upon receipt of regulatory approval,” it added.

However, the bank did not provide a new date for the release of the results.

Following the delay, Fidelity Bank said its insider trading restrictions would remain in force.

The lender reminded its directors, senior management staff and other insiders that the closed trading window for transactions in the bank’s shares would remain in place until the delayed financial statements are filed.

According to the bank, the restriction would only be lifted 24 hours after the publication of both the H1 2026 audited financial statements and the unaudited financial statements for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026.

In August, Fidelity Bank announced that it had obtained NGX approval to extend the deadline for publishing its H1 2026 audited financial statements to September 30, 2026.

The latest approval marks the second delay in the publication of the bank’s half-year financial results.
