Beyoncé and Rihanna have both secured positions on Forbes 11th annual list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women, joining the ranks of the country’s wealthiest female billionaires.
Beyoncé ranked 43rd on the list with an estimated net worth of $1 billion, while Rihanna placed 39th, also valued at $1 billion.
Forbes attributed Beyoncé’s entry into the billionaire club to the success of her 2025 Cowboy Carter Tour, which reportedly generated more than $450 million from ticket sales and merchandise. The publication noted that her bold shift into country music resulted in the most successful concert tour in the genre’s history.
The report further stated that a major factor behind her financial rise is her establishment of Parkwood Entertainment in 2010, which allowed her to maintain control over music production, concerts, and overall career management.
Rihanna, aged 38, has largely built her billion-dollar fortune through her beauty and fashion ventures, particularly Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty, expanding her influence well beyond her music career.
For the ninth consecutive year, building materials entrepreneur Diane Hendricks topped the ranking, with an estimated net worth of $21.7 billion.
The 2026 edition of the list features 43 self-made female billionaires, an increase from 38 the previous year. Nearly half of those listed reportedly built their fortunes from the technology sector.
Other entertainment figures featured include Oprah Winfrey, who ranked 16th with $3.4 billion, Taylor Swift at 23rd with $2 billion, and Kim Kardashian at 25th with $1.9 billion.
Forbes also highlighted the increasing influence of celebrity-driven enterprises, stating: “The growing power of celebrity-led business empires”
The magazine added that these high-profile figures have expanded their wealth beyond entertainment into sectors such as beauty, fashion, media, and consumer products.
