Meta eyes TikTok, YouTube creators with paid Facebook push

Meta scraps fact-checking program, introduces X-like community notes feature

Meta on Wednesday unveiled a new initiative to attract top creators from TikTok and YouTube to Facebook, offering guaranteed earnings and enhanced visibility.

The Creator Fast Track programme provides creators with established audiences monthly payments and expanded reach on Facebook, according to CNBC.

Those with at least 100,000 followers on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube can earn $1,000 per month, while creators with over one million followers on any of those platforms are eligible for $3,000 monthly.

“We have heard from established creators on other platforms … that it can be hard or intimidating to get started,” Yair Livne, vice president of product for Facebook Creators.

“So this program is really meant to address that need.”

The guaranteed payments will last for only three months, but Livne said creators will gain access to Facebook’s Content Monetisation programme and continue benefiting from increased reach “in perpetuity.”

The announcement underscores Meta’s broader push to attract and retain this segment of creators.

The company added that it paid nearly $3 billion to creators in 2025, marking a 35% increase from the previous year.

Facebook, despite having more than 3 billion users, has long struggled to attract creators, many of whom have gravitated toward TikTok and YouTube.

The new programme marks the next step in efforts by Meta to draw in creators with established audiences and strengthen the volume of original content on Facebook.
