The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission has announced that registration and submission of pre-qualification applications for the Nigeria 2025 petroleum licensing bid round will close on February 27.
In a public notice issued on Wednesday, the commission urged applicants to comply strictly with all submission requirements and meet the stated deadline.
“The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) hereby notifies the general public that registration and submission of applications for Pre-Qualification under the Nigeria 2025 Licensing Round shall close at 4.30pm on Friday, 27 February 2026, in accordance with Section 11.2 of the Licensing Round Guidelines,” the statement reads.
“All Applicants are advised to ensure full compliance with the stipulated submission requirements within the prescribed timeline.”
On December 1, 2025, the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission announced the official launch of the 2025 petroleum licensing round, aimed at attracting about $10 billion in fresh investments.
The commission later disclosed on December 9 that the Federal Government had lowered the signature bonus for the round to between $3 million and $7 million.
