Zenith Pensions supports 400 widows with festive gifts

Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited, one of Nigeria’s pension fund custodians, has partnered with Greatlife Changers Foundation to distribute raw food items and festive gifts to more than 400 widows during the Yuletide season.

In a statement issued on Monday, the custodian disclosed that the initiative formed part of its 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility programme.

The outreach programme was held in the Palmgrove area of Lagos and was aimed at addressing the immediate needs of one of society’s most vulnerable groups.

During the event, beneficiaries received joy boxes containing rice and other essential cooking condiments to support them through the festive period.

The company explained that the initiative went beyond the distribution of food items, serving as a platform for emotional support, community bonding and reassurance that the widows were valued and celebrated during the season.

The Managing Director of Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited, Peters Eledu, said the firm’s approach to corporate responsibility is anchored on meaningful social impact.

“Our 2025 CSR strategy is rooted in the belief that corporate success is hollow without community impact. For us at ZPC, this isn’t just about charity; it’s about acknowledging the resilience of these widows and ensuring they experience warmth and dignity this festive season,” Eledu stated.

The President of the Greatlife Changers Foundation, Chioma Dauji, expressed profound appreciation for the partnership, noting that the collaboration significantly expanded the foundation’s capacity to reach widows in need.

For many of the beneficiaries, the support provided through the initiative represented the only form of festive assistance they would receive during the Yuletide.

The partnership with Greatlife Changers Foundation, the firm noted, further reflects Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited’s commitment to social equity and its long-standing tradition of giving back to communities across Nigeria.

“As a subsidiary of Zenith Bank Plc, ZPC continues to lead by example, proving that the nation’s most preferred pension fund custodian is also one of its most compassionate,” the firm said.
