The Federal Government has set uniform sale prices for housing units under its Renewed Hope Estate Programme across all states of the federation.
This was disclosed in a statement on Thursday, by the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Badamasi Haiba.
The units—comprising one-, two-, and three-bedroom semi-detached bungalows—are part of the ministry’s initiative to make homeownership more affordable and inclusive for Nigerians.
Haiba stated that the new uniform prices are set at N8.5 million for a one-bedroom semi-detached bungalow, N11.5 million for a two-bedroom unit, and N12.5 million for a three-bedroom unit.
He explained that the adoption of uniform pricing is designed to enhance affordability, transparency, and fairness, ensuring Nigerians across all regions have equal access to the benefits of the Renewed Hope Housing Programme.
He said, “The approved selling prices are: One-bedroom semi-detached bungalow: N8.5 million, Two-bedroom semi-detached bungalow: N11.5 million, and Three-bedroom semi-detached bungalow: N12.5 million.
“The adoption of uniform selling prices aims to promote affordability, transparency, and fairness, ensuring that Nigerians across all regions have equal opportunities to benefit from the Renewed Hope Housing Programme.”
According to the statement, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa, said priority in the allocation of the housing units would be given to low- and middle-income earners, as well as civil servants across all levels of government.
The priority list, he added, will also cover employees in the organised private sector with verifiable sources of income, as well as Nigerians in the Diaspora who wish to own homes in the country.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Shuaib Belgore, stated that multiple payment options have been introduced to make the houses more affordable and flexible.
These include outright purchase, mortgage, rent-to-own arrangements, and installment payment plans.
The ministry further announced that the sale of the completed housing units across both northern and southern regions will commence soon.
Applications can be submitted through the Renewed Hope Housing online portal at www.renewedhopehomes.fmhud.gov.ng or obtained from the Ministry’s headquarters and field offices nationwide.
The Renewed Hope Estates and Cities Programme is a flagship initiative of the President Bola Tinubu administration aimed at closing the housing deficit in Nigeria.
Launched in February 2024, the programme began with the 3,112-unit Renewed Hope City project in the Karsana District, Phase 3, of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
