Dangote Refinery's polypropylene to enter market

Dangote Refinery has received new 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas-powered trucks to kick-start its nationwide fuel distribution operations.

The delivery of the trucks signals a key move in the company’s plan to launch large-scale distribution of Premium Motor Spirit and diesel nationwide, beginning August 15, 2025.

The company in a statement on Sunday announced it will begin nationwide distribution of Premium Motor Spirit and diesel on August 15, 2025.

In the statement, Dangote Petroleum Refinery said the company is rolling out 4,000 newly acquired Compressed Natural Gas-powered tankers to strengthen its delivery network and improve fuel availability across the country.

It noted that the logistics support, including free product delivery, is aimed at eliminating distribution bottlenecks and reducing operational costs across critical sectors of the economy.

“Dangote Petroleum Refinery is pleased to announce the commencement of a significant national initiative designed to transform Nigeria’s fuel distribution landscape.

“Effective 15th of August 2025, the refinery will begin the distribution of Premium Motor Spirit and diesel to marketers, petrol dealers, manufacturers, telecoms firms, aviation, and other large users across the country, with free logistics to boost the distribution network.

“This strategic programme is part of our broader commitment to eliminating logistics costs, enhancing energy efficiency, promoting sustainability and supporting Nigeria’s economic development,” the company said.

The company said the distribution will serve fuel marketers, petrol dealers, manufacturers, telecom providers, aviation operators, and other major fuel users across the country.

The firm also revealed plans to enhance distribution by setting up daughter booster CNG stations and deploying a dedicated fleet of over 100 gas-powered tankers.
