Apple has dropped its biggest clue yet about the future look of iOS, just days before its annual Worldwide Developers Conference begins on June 9 in Cupertino, California.
The teaser comes from Apple’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Greg Joswiak, who posted a five-second animation on social media. The clip transitions from the Apple logo to the Swift programming language symbol and finally the iconic Apple Park rainbow – all rendered in a frosted glass style. Though brief, the visual hints at a potential design overhaul for iOS 19, or what may now be called iOS 26.
Rumors have long suggested that Apple plans to unify its design language across platforms, drawing inspiration from the Apple Vision Pro’s interface. The mixed-reality headset features elegant floating glass visuals, subtle reflections, and gesture-based controls – elements that could now be adapted for iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
A similar frosted-glass Apple logo also appears on Apple’s official WWDC 2025 Developers’ page, paired with the tagline “Sleek Peek,” further reinforcing the aesthetic shift.
While Apple remains tight-lipped about upcoming features, analysts believe the redesigned interface could extend to widgets, Control Center, and even app icons. Users might also see a more immersive experience with transparent layers and responsive reflections.
Another big change on the horizon could be Apple’s naming convention. Reports suggest Apple will drop sequential numbering for its operating systems in favor of a year-based format, turning iOS 19 into iOS 26, in line with 2026 device releases.
Though much remains under wraps, all signs point to WWDC 2025 unveiling one of the most significant visual updates to iOS in years, with Apple’s signature flair for sleek, glass-inspired design taking center stage.
