Apple Inc. faced widespread outages across its payment services on Friday, impacting thousands of users relying on Apple Pay, Apple Wallet, Apple Card, and Apple Cash, according to the company’s support website and user reports.

The disruptions, which began earlier in the day, affected nearly 3,000 Apple Pay users, as reported by Downdetector, a platform that monitors service outages.

The outages come at a time when Apple’s payment ecosystem is a critical component of its services revenue, which reported $24.9 billion in the company’s latest quarterly earnings.

Neither Apple nor industry analysts have yet disclosed the financial impact of the disruptions.

Apple has not provided a detailed explanation for the cause of the outages.

Apple has not responded to requests for comments.

The incident underscores the growing reliance on digital payment platforms and the challenges tech giants face in maintaining seamless service amid increasing demand.
